Summer Plans Canceled? We are proud to offer….

SCAMP! = SCHOOL AND CAMP ROLLED INTO ONE

ENDORSED BY Arts & Letters Public School in Brooklyn! Open to all – on East Coast time.

Each week campers will learn a different artistic method, as well as writing and storytelling skills. Folded into their art activities will be history lessons about art and its place in the world. The writing workshops will teach entertaining storytelling skills and help children to write for their grade level come the fall. With energizing assignments that instruct campers how to sleuth for clues about the inside and outside worlds of home and nature, your children are sure to learn how to initiate, develop and complete their own exciting and smart projects. We encourage you to write to us directly to let us know your child’s particular needs, so we can adapt the days to best serve all children as individuals. We will also have work out/play/dance breaks, and opportunities to turn art info performance. Keeping kids moving over the summer is important!

Fun is our priority; learning is part of the fun. 6 weeks of virtual programming in art and creative writing! SCAMP will include the added spices of nature exploration, performance, history, and surprise guest artists.

These guests include:

Globally lauded artist  Mika Rottenberg, artist and animator  Mike Estabrook, children’s book author and science teacher at  Brooklyn’s PS 120 (The Parkside School), Sydra Mallery, and jewelry designer/wellness coach  Paige Novick, whose meditations have been used at Arts and Letters public school and the Little Red Schoolhouse.

Join us for a joyous and active summer which will put your child steps ahead in writing, reading, art and history skills for what is sure to be a challenging 2020/21 school year.
