The goal of this workshop is to help you tap into your authentic self and find the path that best aligns with who you are TODAY, at this strange moment in history, and who you are becoming.

And we will be using astrology to get you there!

I am the author of eight books including the brand new Super-Powered Astrology: Four Steps to a New You for a New Astrological Age (W.W. Norton).I was interviewed recently on the Woo Woo with Rachel Dratch podcast. This will give you a good sense of who I am and how I work. In addition, I teach writing at New York University and have years of experience working as an editor and writing/creative coach. My book Bang the Keys (Penguin) is a guide to creating a writing practice. I am also the author of numerous of three novels including the true crime novel Jazzed, which was named one of the top Indie Historical Fiction Novels of 2022 by Kirkus Reviews. I’ve received praise from Debbie Harry, Jeff Hiller, Melissa Auf Der Maur, and more.

Here’s what to expect:

Enter the House of Signs in beautiful Woodstock, NY. Located right in town, it’s also just steps from where the NYC Port Authority bus drops you off, so you can easily come for the day without a car.

NOON: Welcome to the House of Signs

We’ll gather, get to know one another and talk about where you are right now. What feels exciting? What feels stuck?

12:30: Meet Your Main Character

Using your birth chart and the techniques in Super-Powered Astrology, you’ll begin identifying the parts of yourself that want more room for expression. Instead of asking, “What am I supposed to do next?” we’ll start with a different question: Who am I becoming?

1:30: Lunch + Free Time

Enjoy lunch and some time to relax, talk with the group, wander around the House of Signs or take a pleasant stroll through Woodstock, a nature walk, or sit beside the stream down the road and listen to the sounds of the water. We have adult swings in the backyard, hula hoops, hammocks, easy lunch fixings, and more.

2:15: Your Hero’s Journey

Every good story begins when the main character is asked to leave the familiar world behind.

Using the classic Hero’s Journey as our map, we’ll look at your own life as a story in motion. Through astrology, guided exercises and free writing, you’ll explore where you’ve been, what you’re being asked to outgrow and what your next chapter might actually look like.

3:30: The Plot Twist

What keeps getting in your way?

We’ll use your astrology chart to uncover the internal contradictions, old roles and habits that may be keeping you tethered to an earlier version of yourself. You’ll learn how to work WITH the different parts of your personality instead of fighting them.

4:30: Your New Path

Now we turn insight into action.

You’ll begin creating a personalized blueprint for your next chapter, including the work, relationships, creative life and daily habits that support the person you are becoming.

5:30: Catered Dinner

We’ll gather around the table for dinner, conversation and a chance to let everything you’ve uncovered settle in.

6:30: The Next Chapter

We’ll end the day by bringing your story into the future. You’ll choose concrete actions that move you toward your new path and identify what you’re ready to start doing differently now.

You will leave with:

A deeper understanding of who you are at this moment in your life, a clearer picture of the person you are becoming, and a personalized roadmap for your next chapter.

Most importantly, you’ll leave with something much more useful than a prediction of your future:
